Plan an ERP rollout around real business priorities

A practical way to connect scope, adoption and continued improvement.

Define the business outcome

Start with the work that needs to improve. A list of modules is useful, but it does not describe which operational problems the implementation must resolve.

Separate essentials from later enhancements

Agree the workflows needed for initial use and the improvements that can follow. Keep dependencies visible so a smaller rollout still supports a complete working process.

Make data preparation explicit

Identify source records, owners and mapping rules. Review duplicates, missing fields and inconsistent classifications before migration rather than discovering them during go-live.

Review working scenarios

Use representative tasks to test the application with business users. Include common exceptions and decisions, not just the shortest successful path.

Keep the relationship active

Plan ownership for support, user questions and future changes. Live use and continued enhancement can progress together when priorities and responsibilities are clear.
